Day 1 Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast, departure from Fes towards Merzouga through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," then we continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see wild monkeys.
We continue towards Midelt for lunch before crossing the stunning Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and impressive landscapes. We will make a stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the valley before arriving at Merzouga. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel near the dunes.
Day 2 Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Camel Trek – Desert Camp
After breakfast, we will explore the Merzouga region. We visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, and meet local nomadic families. Then, we visit Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, where we can explore its traditional souk and historical sites.
In the afternoon, we return to Merzouga and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will ride the camels while enjoying the stunning sunset over the dunes. Arriving at the desert camp, we will have a traditional dinner, enjoy Berber music around the fire, and spend the night in nomadic tents under the starry sky.
Day 3 Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Early wake-up to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. We ride camels back to Merzouga, then continue our journey towards Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops.
Next, we head to the stunning Todra Gorges, a paradise for rock climbers, where you will have time to walk along the impressive canyon walls. Afterward, we continue through the Dades Valley, known for its incredible rock formations, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the famous "Monkey Fingers" rock formations. Dinner and overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley.
Day 4 Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Telouet
After breakfast, we continue our journey through the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs," passing through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose products. We then reach Skoura, known for its lush palm groves and the well-preserved Kasbah Amridil.
Next, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where we can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Atlas Film Studios. We then take a scenic road through the Ounila Valley to reach the historic Kasbah of Telouet, the former residence of the powerful Glaoui family. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Telouet.
Day 5 Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we visit the magnificent Telouet Kasbah, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Then, we continue to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, the best-preserved Ksar in Morocco, famous for being a filming location for many Hollywood movies.
After exploring the kasbah, we begin our journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m). Along the way, we stop for panoramic views and visit small Berber villages before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Transfer to your hotel or riad, marking the end of our incredible journey.
