Day 1 Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga (Camel Trek & Night in a Camp)
Pick up at 8:00 in the morning at the Hotel or Riad where you are staying in Fes, we will go to the Middle Atlas, to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou “the rock”, a Berber village known for its crafts, carpets, and wood sculpture. Then arrival in Midelt. Follow the road for the Tizi Talghemt or Cuello del Camella, at 1,907 meters altitude. The relief is impressive, the mountains are completely bare, covered in a purple coat. Arrival in Errachidia and commit to the crossing of the Tafilalet massif to the palm grove of Erfoud. Desert direction Merzouga and arrive in the afternoon. We rest a while, and we will leave the suitcases and things we won’t use in the desert at the hotel, then leave in a caravan of dromedaries for an hour that will take us to the Haimas camp. We will make a stop in the middle of the road to see the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing the trip to the camp, where we will have another hospitality tea before dinner. We will have the opportunity to climb to the great dune or the small dunes that are near the camp, to discover shooting stars and ask for wishes. We will spend the night in the Haimas in the heart of the desert (Camp).
Day 2 Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return in dromedary to the Lodge, shower and breakfast, departure to Rissani, visit of its market that is the most important of the south, where all the desert nomads go to do their shopping. Then we go to Erfoud where we will visit the fossilized marble factory and continue towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will reach one of the strong points of the South: The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch on the site and a walk of half an hour to see the Gorges with tranquility. In the afternoon, we continue to the Vallée du Dadès through Boumalne. We arrive at Valle de Dades accommodation in a Kasbah.
Day 3 Dades Gorges – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Today, you will travel to Ouarzazate through Boumalne de Dades, El-Kelaa M’Gouna, and Skoura. You can admire the views of the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses, and the oasis of Skoura while driving. We will get to Ouarzazate, where you can have a stop to see the Kasbah of Taourirt that was built from the Glaoui dynasty. From here, we go to the village of Aït Ben Haddou, having lunch and then exploring the exotic Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Later, you will be driven through the pass of Tizi N’Tichka (2260 m), where you will have the opportunity to take photos and enjoy the scenes of the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the Argan Oil Cooperative, where we will discover the process of production, and they will explain the numerous benefits it has for the human body. In the afternoon, we arrive at Marrakech, transfer to your riad where you will stay, and the tour concludes.
